  i really appreciate you talking about pOCD. it’s very rarely talked about and so many people go years without knowing what’s going on with them, and thinking that they’re a pedophile instead. you genuinely could help someone watching this video. i have OCD and have harm OCD and so many people don’t understand that OCD can be so much more than just contamination OCD and washing your hands a bunch.

  The woman who put herself in dangerous situations reads very much as self-harm to me. It&apos;s not a common form of self-harm, but it really seems that way: doing something that you know will hurt you, but you do it anyway because you&apos;re trying to fill a void. Substance abuse, eating disorders, cutting--they all have that in common. I hope the OP was able to see a therapist and work through stuff.

  I really hope that second girl/woman changes that mindset. I used to think similar to the way she did and I did actually end up being raped at 19. It&apos;s not exciting, it&apos;s not thrilling, it&apos;s an absolutely awful experience that no one deserves to go through.

  Commenting again. In regards to the guy attracted to kids: POCD is definitely a possibility that should be explored, especially if the guy is as distressed by the feelings as he says he is. From what I understand, people who are actually attracted to minors might have guilt over it and wish they could change, but they normally accept it as a part of themselves. The way OP phrased his post reminds me a lot of how OCD fixations are described. It is possible that he does actually have those attractions, but if anyone is reading this and OP&apos;s story resonated with you, talk to someone. Preferably, someone with experience treating OCD. They can help differentiate what is actual desire versus obsessional fixation.

  I mean, just because OP thinks she has no trauma doesn’t mean she doesn’t have trauma. When I went for my psyche evaluation they asked me about my history of trauma and I said “eh… nothing really” and then he brought up something I had mentioned earlier (I don’t want to get specific here) and it was a lightbulb moment for me lol if someone else told me that had happened in their life I would understand it as traumatic but when it happens within your own life (especially at a formative age, like myself) it just gets banked inside your head as the normal. So what I mean to say is, I would advise her to get a therapist and be as honest as possible. And maybe seek out a psyche evaluation because learning I have ocd and adhd and actually managing it to a degree helped me a lot<br><br>Edit: I typed this right before you addressed her possible trauma lol

Many just do it bc they want to get off on having power and control. Some just like violence. Some just want to hurt people and enjoy inflicting pain. Some like doing bad things to satisfy a sick unique desire to be edgy. Some just want convenience, don&apos;t like being told no, dont respect boundaries, and are entitled. <br><br>Especially when you&apos;re a woman, people feel entitled to your body. So getting sexually assaulted doesn&apos;t mean you&apos;re wanted or desired a lot of the time.
