  Galvanized steel bucket is always a must. Fire underneath it then fill it with water, either a warm bath or wash your clothes.

  Salt to taste food, preserve food, bake and a necessary electrolyte, especially during the heat. I have some salt with iodine, needed for the thyroid. It will be an item to trade because people didn&apos;t think of this.

  The only thing on the list that I don&apos;t have is the grain mill. Of course, I don&apos;t have grain to mill... All the others, I have 3 or 4 of each, plus more modern backups. Oh, I don&apos;t have a rocket stove, I have a cast iron stove in my BBQ grill shelter, plus firebrick to make a ground-level firepit. I have 21+kwh of solar power banks, I have 4 Lifestraw water filters. What I need is to get an electrician out here to wire a solar power bank backup circuit to my well pump. I have more than 2kw of solar panels to recharge my power banks. 10.24kwh of the solar is dedicated to keeping the fridge running during a power outage. The other 10.8 kwh is for my workshop outside the house, and drop cords can route that to the house if needed. We have 20 oil lamps for illumination, plus candles. We have a propane as well as an electric camp stove, plus the BBQ grill and the cast iron stove for cooking. We have an emergency propane heater with a CO detector built in to keep a third of the house warm during ice storms, as well as a wall-mounted CO detector. Electric chainsaw that can be recharged by the solar setup. Half an acre of woods behind the house that can become emergency firewood--and during a SHTF situation, easy access to 10k acres of woodland I would reluctantly harvest as sparingly as necessary. Not to mention ample deer, rabbits, squirrels pheasants, ducks, quail, feral hogs, and bear who wander up into the yard occasionally. As for two-legged predators, a sausage grinder would greatly expand our pet food supply. Don&apos;t @ me folks. I&apos;m from East Tennessee. From an area where even Revenooers have learned to make appointments before raiding Grandpa&apos;s still. SHTF in the 1930s, and the fan still isn&apos;t cleaned off. I&apos;m almost 70, and I have seen quite a lot of change in the world. &nbsp;--Dan
