  propane is good down to negative 44 degrees, butane stops working at about 30 degrees<br>Propane for outside, butane is for cooking inside but needs airflow<br>put pasta in a thermos with hot water &nbsp;soak beans and rice to save fuel

  While Condensed Canned Soup may save shelf space it is going to eat into what ever water stores you have, and on that subject in an outage do not waste water on washing yourself, instead buy the large tubs/packs of body wipes that hospitals and care homes use for bead baths, they stay on the shelf sealed until needed the armed forces include something similar in every MRE pack for wiping dirty hands before eating.<br>If you are facing freezing conditions, get as much water as you can early, then TURN OFF your water supply and drain both hot and cold pipe and leave the taps open, you are less likely to have any burst pipes.

  Tap water you can store for 6 months then change it out. Make sure your container is BPA free food grade.

  lithium battery packs don&apos;t charge in freezing temps, keep it inside<br>keep the gas generator out side on a looong cord &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; good idea to chain it down<br>i have a special gas can just for generator gas, &nbsp;and rotate stock &nbsp; &nbsp;(no ethanol gas)
