  Bro I grew up Muslim and my family is from Egypt and I have been a catechumen at a Coptic Church since July.. I get baptized next month in January this makes me so happy you experienced this!

  I&apos;m Egyptian Muslim, grew up in Alexandria in my family home between couple of huge church and many Coptic niegbors, miss our next door Coptic neighbors and how they took care of me and my sister when my mom was sick, and how we send food to each others in Ramadan and holidays, 35 years later my mom passed away and I still call them and they call us

  not gonna lie, I&apos;m Anglican. &nbsp;I love Orthodoxy. &nbsp;I have no issue with Catholics. BUT, if I had to choose one branch of Christianity that felt the MOST Christ-like, that seemed to portray the essence of the Gospel more than any other.. without doubt, it would be Coptic Christianity. &nbsp;I&apos;ve never met any Christians more sincere, devout, loving and warm than Coptic Christians.

  I am a Brazilian who studies Coptic independently and, despite the issue of living very far from a Coptic church, I keep on learning and praying every day. Coptic people are the most welcoming. I plan on getting baptized soon in order to officially call myself a converted Copt.

  Hey Jared, as a Copt I wanna explain a little bit on veneration of relics and shrines of saints. We view saints as our friends, fathers, brothers and sisters that have come before us whether 2000 years ago or 20 years ago. they have fought the good fight and finished the race that we are all running towards God. So just like we are very comfortable with people who are alive in the world now by hugging and kissing each other, the same goes for the saints who we believe are alive in Christ. We say hi to them, kiss their relics and speak to them. We fundamentally believe they are more alive than we are because our God is the God of the living!!

  As an Eastern Orthodox, I find the division between us and the Copts and other Orientals more tragic even than the division between East and West, because we remain so close in practice and faith. And I admire the Coptic church for its witness of martyrdom and streadfastness even in our times. I&apos;m happy for you to have had this experience. Thanks for sharing it for our edification.
