I've used Wurth dry chain lube spray for years. Have been using the same can for about three years, and I lube it often. Zero fling off, and it isn't sticky so doesn't attract muck.

Funny how the video talks about anti-seize while showing Loctite. Just remember that anti-seize isn't lube. It's for fasteners that likely won't be removed or for a long time and are likely to be seized, as in the exhaust system . If the fastener will be loosened on a regular basis, like chain adjusters, use small amount of grease.

Any kind of lubricant oil will work on chain. You can even use grease or wd40... UNLESS, you use O-ring r X-ring... Some lubricant can significantly harms the rubber, thats why performance bikers recommend pricey chain wax..

the use of 80 or 90 grade oil as an alternative chain lube was legit. I saw that in my motorcycle's owners manual. However, it just flings off when traveling at high speed. 😎😎😎

I've been using Renthal Chain lube for several years on my motorbikes and the chain is always clean and protected. 37.000kms on my Aprilia Mana without touching It and runs perfect.

I have always used Chain Wax, it stays on your chain and does not sling off messing up Bike like oil. Years ago, I used WD 40 with zero problems...

Agree with the chain lube. Gear oil can be a bit thick and hard to apply/spread though. I think mine is iso 80 or 90. Propping up the back wheel and turning the bike on in gear with a grunge brush/towel dab makes it easy to clean and spread gear or motor oil on after.

But for the lazy way, WD-40 or screw loose aren’t really a lube. Use something like power lube. Barely press the nozzle and let it drip out the red straw along the sides of the chain where it won’t spread by itself during operation like the rollers do. The rollers will spread easy, but the chain links rub each other when rotating so don’t ignore the sides.

An even better and cheaper Chain lube, bar & chain oil for chain saws! I’ve been using it on all of my motorcycles forever. I have found it’s best to get it fairly hot to apply it as it thins it out enough to get into all the little places it needs to go and then when it’s cooled down it’s really tacky and stays in there for a lot longer than anything else will!
