  There’s only one way to survive on a motorcycle , that’s to treat all other road users as potential homicidal maniacs out to kill you. From what I have witnessed in my 54 years of riding motorcycles , many of them obviously are .

  One thing I see riders do often is stop too close to the car in front of them, giving themselves no way to escape someone coming up behind you too fast that is going to ram you. I always stop about a car length behind and to one side of the car, watching my mirror, and ready to shoot to the side of a car if someone isn&apos;t stopping. Be safe!

  The right gear - I mean what you are wearing. I hit a tree at about 160-180kmph. (yes, I was naughty). I spent 6 weeks in ICU, 6 months in hospitals, and another two years of physio to get me back to work. I was told by the medical staff that without my riding gear I would be dead, and at best, would have lost my left foot and my left arm. (Also, I have a LOT of Titanium in me and every day is very painful............ so, maybe just behave and keep track speeds to the track.)

  I am a 60 year old man and have been riding and racing since I was 4 years old. been there done that. your advice is some of the best you can give to any rider new or old. great video and thank you for creating it .

  I’ve been riding since I was 12-13 years old I’m 71 now been down many times so far I’ve always been blessed with riding again.<br>Point is, riding is like music, it’s a never ending journey of learning &nbsp;the skills. Even with my years in the saddle videos like this one are always worth the watching.
