My experience has been that young people are more and more interested in these cool guns, revolvers and lever guns. It's refreshing to see.

Great video an advice! I’m 40 and grew up on the polymers just one the last year I found the joy of DA wheel guns. Some older fella with a j-frame was hitting a 4in plate at 20yards and I was missing with my red dot semi. I asked him for some tips and said get one of these and shoot till you’re good…he was right my trigger control and groups have improved vastly.

I am older than you guys and the the 80s were great. Everyone wanted a semi/ auto and the pawn shops were full of revolvers. I now have more than a hundred S&W and Colt revolvers including Pythons and Smiths of every caliber. Like you guys, I carried a revolver for 20 of my 47 years of service. I was outgunned by the bad guys here in Miami during the Miami Vice 80s but me and my 18 38 specials made it. You guys are great. Love the shorts Roy. God Bless You all and keep up the great work. Richard

Amen brother's. I've carried a revolver daily for 52 years. On duty and off duty. Now in my silver years a S&W Model 12 is my constant companion. I have never felt under gunned.

Frank Hamer carried Ol’ Lucky. I’ve been known to tote a 45lc vaquero. On the street they made fun of me for carrying a custom Colt national match with a triple mag pouch. The other cops called it my “pa-pa gun”. When they forced Glocks on me, I did build a Roland special. My post cop gig has found me this week in slacks, El Paso saddlery belt/holster that matches my dress shoes holding my very customized 3” model 10 under my jacket, and a 1951 detective special in a simply rugged force option pocket holster. If something were to happen at work, it’s going to be arms length distance, and I like the utility of my 38s. I’m even using wadcutters in both. They are spicy wadcutters from underwood, but I’m not worried about over/under expansion. Thanks for the content, gents.

I’m in my early 50s, and I’ve just started to close the circle. Started with a revolver in .357. Traded that for a Taurus PT945. Traded that for a Glock 23. Etc. Etc. I’ve had the full gamut of options at this point. I’ve come to the realization that I don’t need “high speed, go fast, high capacity, get into trouble guns”. I need a reliable and easy to operate “get out of trouble gun” that I can shoot well. For me, that’s 1911s and revolvers.

Great discussion , funny a few days ago myself and another retired guy were shooting 38 revolvers while a younger guy showed up who was blasting with an AR type of gun who was spraying then finally starting talking to us and got interested in revolves in a short time…I own a variety of handgun, but still enjoy revolver shooting.

There was a cartoon on the wall of the SDPD range office "firepower vs accuracy " , where one officer was spraying the area of the target with countless rounds from a pistol and the other officer put 2 rds in the bullseye with a revolver. 😮 🙂
Larry H.

The beauty of the revolver is the capability to reload ammunition to varying power levels up to and including shot shells.

"Would be pretty cool"?

I've carried a single action Colt clone in .45 Colt a high percentage of the time for nearly a decade here in NW Alabama.

I'm not dealing with hypotheticals...I've been living it 😁👍

Been a gun owner for 41 years and carried for over 30. My love for revolvers didn't develop until the late '90s.
