I heard he died from a political assassination. He was returning to the US to blast Truman and company for giving Eastern Europe to the Russians. The truck driver was never charged. Such is a soldier’s fate when he goes against the powers that be. Wonder how he was in his next life.

the Nazi's expected the Americans to fight like Europeans, they did not. The history of America showed how a "rag tag bunch of rebels" broke the most powerful militatry of the time. Was it because they fought like Europeans then, and never learned not to?

To set the record straight on his "ivory handled pistols.Onechandle got broken & Patton wanted it fixed so one of his gunsmiths bought a toy revolver and took off the plastic grip on one side & put it on Patton's pistol & painted it white.Patton never knew the difference & is still on that pistol.
