Who else thinks Scar is low-key one of the best Disney villains ever? Let me know your rankings in the comments!

(P.S. Sorry for the tight edits. Disney really didn't want me showing you Mufasa today! 💀)

This was the first film I ever saw in a movie theater. Everyone there jumped when Scar's paw came out of nowhere and caught the mouse in the beginning.😅

I too had a orange cat named Simba. He was the first pet of my very own. I was only 4 years old and he was a 3 year old cat. I choose the name because I was 4 years old and i will always call myself The Lion King #1 fan. Im in my 30s now. My cat Simba lived to be 22 years old!

Zazu is voiced by Mr. Beam himself, Rowan Atkinson.

In Mufasa The Lion King, the prequel to Lion King, but of the live action, is the story of Mufasa in his earlier days and shows Scar, who was first named Taka, becoming Scar. Also shows how he got the scar on his face.

As a lion king super fan I can explain a couple things that you seemed confused about during the movie.

First off Zazu is actually pronounced more like Z-aw-zu with a long A as opposed to Z-ah-zu.

Secondly the reason you remember Elton John singing Can you feel the love tonight is because, as you may have noticed in the credits, he wrote all the music for the movie. He has covers of all of them with him singing and his most popular is Can you feel the love tonight.

Thirdly I noticed you were a little confused with the whole Scar being king thing. So essentially what happened was Scar was next in line for the throne after Mufasa because he’s the younger brother. After Simba is born Scar gets kicked down to third in line after Simba. This is why he has to kill both Mufasa and Simba to become king. He tells the pride about the stampede and how Mufasa and Simba are dead since he sent the hyenas to kill him. Scar doesn’t know that they didn’t finish the job which is why he’s so shocked he shows up at the end. This is why everyone at home believed he was dead.

I absolutely believe scar is the best Disney villain just on the premise that his plan worked alone. Other than that he has the best villain song and he’s charismatic.

There’s also two more Lion King movies, Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride and Lion King 1 1/2 (or 3 in some regions). They’re both really good.

I also like to point out little details like how Simba tries to get Mufasa to get up the same way he woke him up in the morning (pulling his ear) and how Scar was most definitely holding Mufasa’s skull in the scene with him and Zazu in jail (a ribCAGE haha).

This film is also based on Hamlet, though it wasn’t originally intended.

If you have any other questions about the movie like character names or plot points I have all the answers 😂

Fun fact and I didn't learn this until a couple years ago but the song be prepared was sung by Jermey Irons who voiced Scar but he only sang the first half. The second half was sung by Jim Cummings who is in almost every Disney movie but he was Ed the hyena.

The opening Zulu lyrics of "Circle of Life" from The Lion King—Nants ingonyama bagithi baba / Sithi uhhmm ingonyama—translate directly to "Here comes a lion, father / Oh yes, it's a lion"
or, more formally, "Behold, a king".

Also I like how the like button is a movie slate and even makes the clap/slap sound.
