You don't need to justify yourself. My Wife and I are both 41 Years old and we also cry every Time we watch this Film with our Daughter. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

'The Lion King' will always be a classic. It balances young and more mature themes beautifully. Part of what made this movie so appealing at the time was that, much like they had done with 'Aladdin', Disney went after, and got, specific voice talent for the roles. Jeremy Irons was the perfect Scar. Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Mathew Broderick, James Earl Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Rowan Atkinson, and all the rest. Truly inspired casting

Scar is voiced by Jeremy Irons, the man who was the Main villain in Die Hard with a Vengeance. He's been in a lot of other films

I watched this movie so many times as a kid that it ruined the VHS tape, lol. I saw the Broadway musical at the Paramount here in Seattle this last Christmas Eve. It was like being 4 and watching The Lion King for the first time.
