  Don&apos;t neglect the occasional car video. The raw unedited feel is exciting and spontaneous. Sprinkle them in here and there for great engagement.

  Whilst I loved Retro and Mercury&apos;s contributions to the series, don&apos;t forget about the Japanese Nintendo devs who were involved too.<br><br>This is to say, it&apos;s not really correct to say Metroid is under Mercury&apos;s &quot;leadership&quot;, because these games are still mostly led/produced by Yoshio Sakamoto who&apos;s been with the series from the beginning.<br><br>There&apos;s many other Japanese Nintendo devs working on these games too.<br><br>Prime Producer, Kensuke Tanabe, had even asked Sakamoto about how they should present Samus in Prime:<br><br>&quot;what would Samus do if Space Pirates took someone as a hostage and said, while pointing a gun to their head, &apos;Samus, back off!&apos; How would Samus react? &quot;What we heard from him was that she would not say, &apos;Hold on!&apos; or show any emotions. She would just bring up her gun and shoot a head shot at the Space Pirate.&quot;<br><br>Via IGN 2009 article&quot;A Space Bounty Hunter in Texas&quot; (would put link but YouTube is weird about that sometimes).<br><br>Sakamoto was also very much so involved in how Samus was presented in the Mercury games.<br><br>It&apos;s just a lot of times I hear these games talked about as if Nintendo had really no involvement and just licenced the games out to 3rd parties like Mercury.<br><br>These games are collaborations, and it just kinda irks me when Nintendo is just not acknowledged in these conversations lol

  Metroid Dread is my favorite Switch game and my favorite game of the 2020s, so far. If that trailer for Ravenous is anything to go by, that could take things to an even higher level. Easily my most-anticipated game right now for any system.

  Awesome discussion! I&apos;m stewing a few thoughts on Samus in this Ravenous. Honestly, I feel like she&apos;s going through a bit of a Katniss Everdeen arc, and that has me worried (in a care for her character way, not a concern for quality). From the end phase of Dread to how she was in the trailer, I had visions of the Hunger Games star going into book 3: absolutely broken and pushed to exhaustive fight mode. I certainly don&apos;t mean this in a way of weakness, but from the layers of isolation, parasite X, and everything to do with what she has been through back to back to back (she doesn&apos;t get to wait years and years between adventures, after all), I feel like she&apos;s on the verge of internal destruction! I&apos;m so excited to see how this all unfolds!

  Thank you so much for your support of Metroid Other M. That is my favorite Metroid game ever. Definitely needs a remaster!
