I went to high school in 71 and a close friend had a BOSS 351C and he totally loved that car the last time I saw him he still had it.

Automatic transmissions were not available on the 1806 BOSS 351's in 1971. Ford got caught fudging the emissions on the BOSS engine, and the penalty was you couldn't get a 4-barrel with Ram Air in 1972. The cam was not 290 @ .050, the 290 is @.006" lift. That's just a start.

The 428 was rated at 335hp (badly underated). The 429 was rated at 370hp. A 351 cubic inch engine with this potential was unheard of.

Some wrong info here, the narrator said no solid lifters after 1971 but thats wrong, Ford sold the tamed down version in 1972 called the 351 HO which still came with solid lifters.
