I like the 1911 45 caliber. It only has a limited ammo count, but works every time and hits hard.

I rejected the FBI's "9mm is just as good as 40" study after I observed that it stated that stopping power was a myth. Were that true, why carry a 9mm at all? Why not a 380, or a 22?<br><br>It actually made seven assertions. Three were about saving money. One was barely relevant, two should have applied equally to any caliber, and one was false. So for general service use, I'm sticking with my 40's.

I mostly carry my S&W M&P Shield .40. My .45 Glock 30 if I am going to be in a higher crime area.

I carry my Glock 19 9MM alternating with my S&W .38 caliber. Admittedly use different grain ammo. 9mm use 124 grain, 15 round mag one in chamber.

I'll keep carrying my Israeli built Jericho 941 9mm, 17+1 and it hits right were I intend to put the rounds, my back up is a S&W 486 .38 spc with 5 rounds, I carried an M9 Beretta as an MP and it served me well and hit were I Aimed, I'm not telling anyone they're wrong because they hopefully chose a gun that they can reliably put rounds on target

XDs are not popular. Glocks and other autos vastly outnumber them. The only Springfield I have owned was a 1911.

Ask real cops and not political studies done by yes men. Large agencies arm their people according to politics and funds available. Civilians follow the golden rule: Carry what the cops carry and carry insurance and a back up. Please not this is not legal advice just an observation only. (not intended for instruction)
