  I bought my S & W Airlite Scandium 357 in mid to early 90s to carry while in the back country.  I fired it a few times when I first got it then cleaned it and put it in the holster.  It has been with me on every adventure.  I hope to never need to shoot it again, but I think the 5 shots will be enough when the time comes.   😘

  As a new shooter, back in the early 1980's, I bought an RG .38 Special. It was functional, tho cumbersome to reload. I replaced it a decade later with a Taurus, a big improvement, tho not first-rate. Another decade later, I replaced that with a S&W Model 38 Airweight. Years later that developed the same frame crack shown in this video. It was not rated for +P, and I'm sure I fired a few dozen of those thru it. My bad. My final replacement is the S&W Model 638, which is rated for +P, and hasn't given me any issues, other than having the "Hillary Hole".

  Rohm (RG):  I've actually enjoyed several RG guns, especially the Model 63: the revolver that looks like a Colt SSA but is DA/SA, in .38 Special, one 5-shot and 2   6-shot.  I actually qualified on my law-enforcement agency's qualification course with one, getting all rounds off despite the ejection being like the SAA.  The agency refused to write it down!  The most I paid was $40.  I also have, believe it or not, an Iver-Johnson 6-shot in .38 Special.  Recalls:  I had a Sig RS that had to be repaired twice as a soon as I got it, once at the factory and once at the dealer.  Has a Colt.380 that kept shedding parts at the range.  Had a CZ 75  that did, too, but it was so comfortable and good-looking that I hate I got rid of it!

  I love S&W but it is true the lock engages on one of my carry revolver on its own. Didnt bother me much I just took it out but it is a shame.

  The Rom or RG was a popular throwdown. Some cops would carry a bag in their trunk with cheap pistols in it. It isn't worth much more than that. The Jennings automatics we're just as bad.

  Ive owned several Heritage revolvers, and everyone of them had the barrel either over tightened or under.  The front post is never in line
