  Within 30 days after buying my house and having it treated because the inspector saw tubes. I have been fighting what you the little piles in several different places in my Cocoa FL home for 4 years. <br>I have seen wings on the windowsills a couple of times over the 4 years, but never any of the termites until a few days ago, while laying in my bed watching a YouTube video, &nbsp;I saw what I thought was a large flying ant. A few minutes later I saw so many more😢 I know what it is, but I &nbsp;cannot afford a professional, &nbsp;can you tell me something I can use that won&apos;t hurt my sister who has COPD and lives with me and I am allergic to Bengal. <br>I have a block house but it has wood paneling and what I call knotty pine celings and walls in several of the rooms.😢😢😢😢😢

  I noticed a few (4-5) dry wood termites on my balcony over the span of a couple of days recently. &nbsp;A couple of them were dead and the other two were alive, but all of them still had their wings. &nbsp;I haven&apos;t seen any wings in that area, though there was a very small amount of frass under the bottom of the wooden door frame to the balcony. &nbsp;The wood itself seems to be in good shape (I did the pencil test and didn&apos;t notice any soft spots). &nbsp;Since cleaning up the frass about a week ago, I haven&apos;t seen any more frass or termites. &nbsp;<br><br>We had a couple of companies out that both recommended fumigation (I kept one of of the dead termites for them to identify), but with no other obvious signs of an infestation, I&apos;m wondering if it would be better to just wait and see if more frass appears, or any non-winged termites/discarded wings. &nbsp;We live near a river with several trees in the area, so might it be possible that these were just reproductives passing through and hadn&apos;t yet established a colony? &nbsp;Obviously, I only want to fumigate if it is absolutely necessary. &nbsp;Thanks for any insight that you can offer.

  I noticed some soft spots on the interior sheet rock next to the front door. I had a small section of the sheet rock removed and noticed the wooden stud that was once infested with termites but I did not see any live activity or live termites. Pest control company wants to sell me on bait stations? What would you do in this situation? I’m in the state of Georgia

  I live on the Gulf Coast USA and just found termite activity in my home. I first noticed the door jam on an exterior door that had only been installed a little more than a year ago had damage. Upon further inspection I found 2 mud tubes &nbsp;coming from the ground to two weep holes close by the door. I sprayed with Cyper &nbsp;TC (because I had it on hand) the door jam (after removing trim on inside) and the cracks in the slab where the tubes came from. I sprayed several gallons of the cyper tc into the cracks of slab. Hind sight being what it is I wish I wouldn’t have sprayed a deterrent and just went with something with fipronil. I have ordered some Taurus SC and will trench next week and I also ordered some termidor foam to spray in wall cavities around the damaged door. How bad did I mess up by using a deterrent first? These look to be Formosan termites (I collected some of the dead ones and looked up images online) &nbsp;as far as I can tell. &nbsp;Thank you for any information/encouragement.   Brought home wood from a pile a few weeks ago. Put it in my garage and yesterday I found it had a bunch of wood dust piled up around it. I already removed the wood, what should I do next? (Besides inspection).<br><br>I did not see mud tunnels on the nearby drywall, nor any other signs of termite activity in the wood. I live in north TX if that affects anything.

  i cut down two trees years ago and found termites in the dead roots underground the other day. &nbsp;what do i do?

  We live in Florida in a poured wall condo. We are chasing termites. We treat one place they show up somewhere else. Can we buy something for them to take back to nest or fumigation? <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGyAVT7Zyro&amp;t=25">0:25</a>

  If you catch termites just starting on your house first couple of tubes and you treat with repellant treatment is it possible they go somewhere else? I have not seen any evidence of returning (ie rebuilding the mud tubes)

  Good infomation. How is inspection done on manufactured home. Is it the same way? Anyone got ideas on checking under a home like this

  Thank you Guy. You have given me so much knowledge in just this one video alone! My home had already 2 termite tent fumigation. First one was 2 years ago and more recently this October. I went up in the attic ans saw some termite droppings. I cleaned them up and will be watching it closely for any activities.

  I had that very thing happen to me years ago. I was in the process of purchasing a house, it had already passed termite inspection by a pest control company. The back screened porch had been full of the owners stuff. At the finial walk through after the porched had be cleaned out I found termites in the wood frame. If I had not noticed the funny looking wood I would have been on the hook for the repairs and treatment.
