Katie was not a second head, she was a person. She had a name and a personality. I hate that people refer to her as if she was just a parasite. I have much respect for her parents. It had to have been the hardest decision they have ever made. RIP Katie ❤️

The only thing I don't like about this is the title. Maybe change it to read "Two children, one body". Katie was more than just a head. Otherwise, very touching story.

She holds back a lot of emotion. You can tell by her eyes how much she misses her sister. Such a brave soul. I hope she is happy and healthy today.

Bless her heart, I truly feel for her. I am 60 yrs. old and lost my twin when we were 16, I still mourn and cry for her.

It really struck me how emotional the doctor got while talking about her speaking to him for the first time. That clearly meant a lot to him. I think he's got a lot of maybes about Katie floating around in his head too.

I think we have to respect that there are decisions in life, especially medically, that are neither "right" or "wrong." They are simply decisions, very difficult decisions. Whether it is the Holton's choosing separation or the Hensel's not, neither is right or wrong or more right or more wrong. I respect both families very much.
