  I remember the hype when this came out in 1979. This was before the internet and social media. The only way you got to see the Alien was by going to the cinema and watching the actual movie, rather than just googling it. So you got to see the movie in the way the Director intended you to see it. The slow build and the writing are epic. Great reaction 👍

  Its one of the best films ever made. It is so culturally significant, it was inducted into the Congressional Library for permeant preservation.

  In 1979 I was 10 I research this movie whole year and a half because I live on the Navajo reservation where there no theaters or book stores. I had to find out through my cousin and a friend and magazines at gas station stores. Until October 1980 I finally saw it on The Movie Channel, a premium pay cable tv network (like HBO)

  Alien is supposed to take place about 100 years from now. Its kinda funny to see what they thought the early 22nd Century would look like in the late 1970&apos;s.
