  SRV doesn't get enough credit for his voice. His playing is legendary, but his voice rips as well. And doing both at the same time is just godly. My guitar hero for sure. 🤠

  And not to mention he taught THOUSANDS of people to play guitar AND helped so many, including myself, to get off drugs......<br>Ya....Stevie was the best...no question.

  Born in &apos;93 on the other side of the globe.....I was lucky to have grown up with western music. And growing up through the maze of Bollywood music, I somehow managed to wiggle my way out of that and land on the blues. Slowly but surely I started building a playlist of my favorite artists like BB KING, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour....but when I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan.....it took me a while to come to terms to what I heard. By that time, I was beginning to have a taste for what kind of sound I liked.....Stevie reset that. I had to build a separate playlist just for Stevie and have been learning to play Stevie&apos;s songs. I never got see him alive. I know for sure I can never play remotely close to his style. But his songs still bring me back to my guitar even during my darkest days.<br><br>Rest in peace Stevie.

  Austin was SO cool in the 70s.<br>Up and down 6th St.,<br>bands playing from almost every club.<br>Laid back times...

  I was at Stevie&apos;s funeral in 1990...and their will &nbsp;never be a nother srv..Ii miss you Stevie

  i saw his show in Des Moines , Iowa . I was 16 and snuck my way into The Joker Bar on Euclid. I somehow got a tallboy bud and watched Stevie play like no one ever. from 8 feet away .I remember that night like it was yesterday. 49 years ago. He inspired the next 15 years of my life in music.

  He was absolutely one of my all time favorite musicians. I was fortunate to have seen him perform live a couple of months before he was killed. The sky cried when he died! “ Never take life for granted“. I also saw him inducted into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame.Thank you!
