  I remember watching Stevie playing a live version of "Leave my girl alone" on TV, and during the solo my 10 year old daughter came in, stared, and said "it's like he's cussing with his guitar!"  I've never been more proud.

  If you're really in the zone you can play like Stevie...for about 20 seconds then your whole arm cramps up. I love how John Mayer talks about SRV

  When the audience is too dumb to realize they are in the presence of greatness. Couldn't stand the weather was my first Stevie Album, I never looked back and was so happy to see him get his head straight near the end, have his most successful album to date, work with his bro, then tragedy, heartbreaking as it was it teaches us that you can never know when it will end, so get control of your demons.  I was happy for Stevie that he had that clarity before his death, but it's so sad too.  Hats off to double trouble, they are the real deal.

  There is no doubt that he was an absolute guitar genius and the savior of the blues in our times.  But you also know that SRV was an exceptional and generous human being when his band members and colleagues keep singing his praises like that and get all chocked up with emotions when talking about him.

  That VOICE ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I guess the guitar playing takes the focus ,,,,, but ,,,,,,,,,,, His singing !!!!!!!!!!!!!! just as powerful
