  Its funny because you realize that Jeff makes a reference of himself running out of ideas. In hard luck, Greg mentions reading a book series called the slumber party pals, mentioning that the writer may have been running out of ideas.

  Rodrick Rules is regarded as the best one because Rodrick was the one character who was genuinely relatable and likeable throughout the entire series.

  For Trista in dog days, she was basically killed off after Greg took her to the pools and she starts talking to this other guy so I guess Jeff kinney decided against her when writing the next book

  One thing I also like about the diary of a wimpy kid books is that all of the books, or at least the first 10 that I have read, are all 217 pages long, which makes it seem like all of Greg&apos;s diaries were bought at the same place.

  The girl named Trista is mentionedin dog days as &quot;Then we made a mistake of inviting this girl named Trista who&apos;d just moved into our neighbourhood. I thought it would be really nice of us to share our country-cub lifestyle with her. But five seconds after we got to the pool she met some lifeguard and forgot all about the guys who&apos;d invited her there.&quot; As mentioned on page 3. This means that her love interest was this lifeguard and Greg and Rowley lost contact with her.

  I love everything about old school, the running away, the backstory, the Girl Scouts, hard scrabble farms, etc
