  I love that drive along the river from Burns to Ontario, especially when the moon is full and reflects off the water.   We usually stop at Junctura, and get ice cream at Oasis restaurant.  Drinkwater Pass is very scenic.

  I spent 2022 and 2023 looking for these houses ... Eastern Washington and Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Wyoming  ... Something more than 3 walls and a partial foundation ... And Nothing ... but Eastern Montana and the Dakota's had a few properties around $50,000 .... All the $10,000  - $15,000 houses were in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Missouri ... Eastern Kentucky, Ohio, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia had stuff in the $30,000 range ... This is for something mostly weather tight serviced by utilities ... All requiring some major work ....

  I was looking over property values in Milton-Freewater the other day. Even there values have gone up at pretty much the same rate as everywhere else.

  I checked 'homes for sale Huntington Oregon'. The lowest priced home was $164,990.

  No different than any other state, except the few that are so small it's hard to take a full breath.  Don't pretend you know about the country or it's people unless you've actually hung around there long enough to KNOW more than just what any traveler would assume and think they know.

  This video is right about some things, it's a 3 hour drive to get decent groceries, we do have air ambulance coverage and it is remote, but we love it! However some of the photos are incorrect, they're talking about Juntura but showing photos of Mt. Hood!

  Arlington was kinda nice, used to spend summers there about 20-30 years back. Haven't been back in about 20 years. Condons mostly a hole in the wall that looked like a slum. No idea how it is now though.
