  Just wanted to say a personal thank you to you two lads for putting light on Dibnah and as a result Britain's engineering legacy, Brit here who just wanted to say he's very grateful and keep up the excellent content.

  The series was filmed in 2004 ... So happy Fred got to fulfill his childhood dream of driving a steam locomotive in his last year . He sadly passed away in November 2004 a few months after filming . A legend sadly missed but still bringing smiles to many . 🙂

  When you've finished watching this series, I'm sure you would both be extremely moved by a video called "Fred Dibnah - A Final Goodbye: The Day Bolton Stood Still". As the title suggests, it's all about Fred's funeral and how Bolton paid a truly fitting tribute to the man.

  Fred always makes me smile, really enjoying watching these with you both.<br>After this I highly recommend Fred Dibnah&apos;s Building Of Britain, each episode focuses on different areas of craftmanship, engineering, and architecture within Great Britain. <br>From cathedrals and castles, to manor houses and canals, Fred takes us through how it was all done. His knowledge is next level.

  Hey guys I have only just found your shows. I grew up with Fred Dibnah from a young child. As the son of a coal miner he was such a hero to me me and everyone else who worked in heavy industries. He showed how much talent there was amongst the working class. True craftsmen who were proud of the skills they had.<br><br>Fred was a beacon; he represented the skilled craftsmen and engineers, boiler makers that were found throughout the country.<br><br>His is the salt of the earth and personality wise he presents the humble approach these people adopted but with a joke available every second of the day.<br><br>Fred Dibnah was a National Treasure.<br><br>I have to compliment you guys on how you re-present the shows. Your genuine sense of wonder brings it back to life &nbsp;and your reactions and emotional responses to the genius of Fred are exactly how I felt when I first saw him.<br><br>The man was simply extraordinary.

  When you come to the UK, you must visit the Black Country museum, where a lot of Peaky Blinders was filmed.

  I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time and love watching your reactions. As a now retired Engineer Fred Dibnah is one of my long time heroes and I live just a few miles from Fred&apos;s home town of Bolton. All that you have seen to date, from his time as a Steeplejack, to this final tour &apos;Made in Britain&apos;, really shows the rise and decline of Britains industrial and engineering history from the start of the Industrial Revolution to the recent past. His knowledge, expertise and boundless enthusiasm have captured the hearts and minds of many thousands of people, young and old, and I hope all his television series are archived for future generations. &nbsp;A big thanks to you both for all your reactions, please keep up the excellent reviews.

  I love how you appreciate these craftsmen. Sadly I never had such skills, but my father did. He made the most beautiful cabinets that people bought to give as wedding presents. The same with furniture such as chairs and sofas. In addition to that, I have never seen a car that he couldn&apos;t repair. So at early age I learned to appreciate these skills that most other fathers &nbsp;couldn&apos;t do. I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing it.

  This episode really reminded me of my own childhood. In primary (elementary) school my best friend lived just down the street from me at number 260 (we were at number 278). His Dad was a contractor who quickly befriended my Dad and introduced him to some of his hobbies. Among other things he was active in the Canterbury Steam Preservation Society, and I spent many weekends out at McCleans Island where inside the large shed a group of men looked after several steam locomotives and a traction engine while us kids used the muscle powered hand car to ferry us to adventure around a couple of kilometers of track. On days when a locomotive was &nbsp;out with a couple of passenger cars I sometimes collected passenger&apos;s tickets. According to YouTube the CSPS is still a thing in &nbsp;the town where I grew up (Christchurch, New Zealand.) I haven&apos;t been back to NZ in nearly 20 years, but that makes me happy!

  2 sundays ago I had a day out on the Bluebell Railway. A beautiful sunday roast dinner in a fully restored Pullman Dining Car ( Fingall ) and then a quick nip over to the other side of the tracks for a run on the normal steam chuffer :) &nbsp;5 1/2 blissful hours on Steam trains, a perfect sunday. &nbsp;Seriously recommended !
