In my view, Waqar made a blunder( damage his own career & Pak team) as a deputy you should support your captain and Akram was also 5 years senior so WY should have control his ambitious intentions.
Other players who revolted have their own agendas.
Karachiate players like Rashid,Basit & Mujtaba were annoyed because Miandad was dropped from 94 Nz tour & also Akram replaced him as a captain.
Aqib (dropped) , Mushtaq ( nearly dropped) were Waqar close friends.
Aamir Sohail was not permanent member specially as an opener so he has his own insecurities.
Akram was trying to be Imran khan as he should be because he was good model to follow.
New Government was formed (Benazir Govt formed in Nov 93), revolted players knew that there will be change at PCB top management (PCB chief was a retired judge who gave a verdict of hanging to PM Benazir FATHER) so they exploit the opportunity.

Pakistan has slowly since disintegrated since Imran left in 1992, to a point now where they can only compete with minnow teams now... This episode is the starting point,of what the team is today!!.

Both Wasim & Waqar are cheats. Both roughed up the surface with bottle tops to get reverse swing.
