My mom started physical fitness and nutrition at 74 and lived until she was over 100. It's never too late. Just do it!

I will be 65 in November. I own 2 houses on 12 acres. A car that will outlast me imho. No debt of any kind. Sounds great. Worlds smallest pension 355$ month. 124k 401. No partner. Every channel says I won't make it. No energy and no time to eat right and ride bicycles until I retire. But everyone has to play the hand they are dealt and place their bets. Because I can't significantly increase my savings, I am retiring in November. Betting that health is your greatest wealth. If that saying is true. Day one of retirement I am doing strength training in the garage and cycling for cardio. And seek to become a great healthy food chef. I have to choose money or health. Wish me luck. Pray for me as I pray for others. My gamble starts in November.

People put off retirement for one reason only. And it's certainly not what are they going to do with thier free time. It's because they can't afford it.. Plain and simple.

I am from Europe and have observed a striking difference between the American and the European approaches to life after retirement . In the U.S. retirement is viewed with anxiety because people link their identity to their career. In Europe the cultural focus is shifted toward quality of life. People prioritize strong ties with friends and family throughout their lives. In the US there is a "live to work" mentality. It's important to realize that a 40 year career it's just one chapter, not the entire book. Thank you for all you do to spread this message!!!

"The Marginal Years" are the last 10 years of life. We don't know when those last 10 years begin, but strength training is extremely important. Muscle mass will determine how long we live. Cardio is not enough. Lift weights.

My favorite quote is "Many people who died yesterday, probably had plans for today". Don't wait for "someday"...
