  I agree with Billy Connolly, never tell people your problems because half won’t care and the other half will think you had it coming. <br><br>Retirement is the time to try new things, some will work and some won’t. Some you might go back to, we bought drones, a gimbal camera and a go pro a couple of years ago, never really used them, sold the drones and put the cameras in a drawer. The great thing about retirement is that you are allowed to be bad at stuff.

  I have had daughter and daughters-in-law go through 3 pregnancy losses over the last 2 years. <br>They had a hard enough time explaining to friends that they lost the pregnancy. They don&apos;t need me to make it harder by sharing the original pregnancy news to more folks that my kids then need to update with the losses.

  Hi Jody - I retired about 9 years ago too - in my early 50s from a corporate career, so some similarities with you. You and your husband have done extremely well creating an audience for your topic - congratulations! I remember when you launched and it seems to me you guys have gotten some of the best traction on the general post-retirement topic. I just wanted to say that. <br>Also, agree with most of what you said. And most of these work both ways (like the money topic). <br>Continued success 🎉

  I have sent your videos to the person that took over when I retired as she is taking early retirement. But to my chagrin I don&apos;t think she&apos;s taking it seriously. &nbsp;O well I tried. I appreciate you guys.

  These points are very insightful and I agree with all of them. I’m 45 and am still in the workplace, planning on retiring in 10 years. I learned early on that, while you can be honest and transparent with people in your life, including co-workers, certain things need to be guarded closely. <br><br>It’s very interesting that you brought vulnerability early in the video because this is something I struggle with as well. I’m not even sure what vulnerability for me even looks like 😅

  Jody, this is essential advice for this chapter of life. The older you get, the more you realize that privacy isn&apos;t secrecy—it&apos;s protection. Keeping financial details close to the vest prevents awkward dynamics, and protecting your marriage by not airing grievances to extended family is pure wisdom. Most of all, keeping new dreams quiet while you’re building them is huge. You don&apos;t need a committee meeting or everyone’s approval to decide who you want to become next. Outstanding video!

  I agree with our glasses, I&apos;ve got about 8 pairs around the house plus pairs in the car!
