Fantastic video! This is my first time seeing inside the wheelhouse as a pilot is guiding a ship. She is so laid back, but in absolute control. Great to the Port from such a different angle than me in my little 30' cat going out diving.

Harbour Pilots are the unsung heroes of the sea. Especially those who have to brave extreme conditions as sometimes happens leaving the Heads out of the Port of Melbourne Australia. It's called "The Rip" for a good reason. Sometimes called the RIP for ships in the old days.
