Veterans, continue getting educated on the VA claims process so you can better understand how the VA evaluates evidence, ratings, appeals, C&P exams, DBQs, and policy updates.
📘 The VA Compensation Blueprint – It’s Time To Win
https://store.kmd89.com/

💻 VA Benefits Navigator Software & University
https://www.vabenefitsnavigator.com/university-664081
The mission remains the same: educate veterans on the VA claims process so they can make more informed decisions regarding their claims and benefits.

The sad thing in every VA entity, Education, Healthcare, VA home loans, Compensation & Pension, every single time I have used them, there is basic information submitted that is in black and white that is denied. Then you have to beat them over their head that was previously submitted. (A fully Developed Claim of Evidence). I have submitted every single example above and denied the first time at least on all and compensation and pension and healthcare I have had to constantly beat them over the head with empiracal evidence and still they get it wrong over 90% of the time.

My question is bigger than my individual claim: what can we as veterans actually do to push VA to improve this process?

I recently had a back and bilateral hip claim denied because service connection was not established. I understand now that I should have specifically explained my Airborne history and how I believed it related to those conditions. But I honestly thought that history was obvious from my military records. I was on Airborne status for essentially my entire active-duty career outside of my deployments, my records contain the “P” identifier, and I already have multiple service-connected lower-body conditions involving my feet, knees, ankles, and bilateral sciatica. (Due to running with boots, ruck march and abn ops.)

I understand that none of that automatically proves a medical nexus to my back or hips. But shouldn’t something that apparent in the record at least trigger a closer look or additional development before concluding there is no service connection?

More importantly, how do we advocate for VA to become more proactive about identifying these issues instead of expecting veterans to already understand how to build a legally and medically complete claim? Most of us are not claims specialists.

Honestly, I think anyone ETSing, retiring, or medically separating should receive mandatory, meaningful, hands-on training on the VA claims process before leaving service—not just a briefing. Teach us service connection, evidence, nexus opinions, secondary conditions, appeals, and how to properly present a claim. We shouldn’t have to learn all of this after making mistakes that can affect years of benefits.

What can we as veterans actually do to advocate for changes like this, and who do we need to bring these concerns to so they become more than complaints in a comment section?

Ps. Thank you for all of the information that you share free to us!!!❤❤❤❤❤ ATW

People make mistakes all the time. But when the VARO makes a mistake that is potentially thousands of hundreds of thousands of impact off a veteran's life. Please tell me what other entry level employee owns such power to screw up someone's life? And then they compound it by defending the bureaucracy forcing it to go to the BVA.

And way to go on shaming the veterans for "making mistakes" the difference is a veteran filing claims is not a trained VA employee who knows exactly what is required. So its justified why the veteran "makes mistakes"
