  &quot;No dude will believe that, for real.&quot;<br>Actually, I saw in a history presentation once that in the military there used to be tampons added to men&apos;s 1st aid supplies because they&apos;re great for sticking into certain wounds to apply pressure in order to slow bleeding, &amp; the handy string makes sure all the cotton comes out of the wound when the medic is ready to treat them. It&apos;s much better than trying to use several small gauzes!
