  I honestly hate this film, i was a highschooler when it released and when i tell you suddenly all of us &nbsp;FOURTEEN year olds were &quot;kinky&quot; and into &quot;freaky shit&quot; when this was just romanticised abuse and completely far from real consensual bdsm, I hate it. This film did so much damage to young men and women on a scale.

  Was it uncomfortable? Yes. Surprisingly, the blurred out scenes and awkward description may have actually improved the quality of the movie.
