Nearly ALL of our current leadership, be it Business or Politics, seem to be focused on short-term self-serving and not long-term planning and stability. Sad.

As an ex-GM Holden employee I remember the meeting when I was offered a six month contract to go to China and teach sub-standard Chinese engineers to do my job. This was not a high salary overseas posting put up in 5 star hotels and a company driver. It was my normal wage, we will fly you there, you pay board in a company village and catch the company bus to work, and when you get back there will be no job for you. I did not take the contract.
