  I had an interview today. I did it, I asked THE question, “based on our conversation, is there anything leaving you with hesitancy in further considering me for the position?” And I got the job!! 🎉🎉

  I don&apos;t love the hesitancy question because I feel like it is forcing them to conjure negative thoughts about you that otherwise may not be there.

  I asked that question of “Is there anything leaving you with hesitation to hire me” and I got the call back for the job within an hour!!!

  Hi Cassandra. Yesterday, 7/8/25, I took a leap of crazy and asked my last question. &quot;Based on what we have talked about today, is there anything that is leaving you with any hesitancy about hiring me for this position?&quot; His answer, after a brief pause, was &quot;If I did, I think it would be nitpicking.&quot; There was a moment of freedom after he said that. 2 hrs later, my staffing agency called and told me they had &quot;a one and done&quot; response and hired me. Thanks for a question I never thought I would have asked. I was one of those who didn&apos;t ask questions at the end in the past. Thank you very much again.

  The time I asked, &quot;Based on our conversation, is there anything leaving you with hesitancy...&quot; they told me to never ask that question in interview in the future. Now I am scared🙃

  I’ve been on the job hunt for 3 months. After submitting close to 100 (tailored resume) applications, finally got a call for an informal recruiter interview, and was accepted to move to round 2 for an interview with the dept manager. Took the weekend to prep my answers to the behavior questions they’d be asking me &amp; listened to your videos for inspo. I may have fumbled my way through all the story telling during my 2nd interview, but I nailed the end with a few of your questions. The manager verbally said ‘ooh that’s a good question’ to ‘what would you like the person filling this role to have accomplished within the first 90 days?’ &amp; ‘is there anything about our conversation today that makes you hesitant to hire me?’ They called to get my references the next day, and extended me an offer that same afternoon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Without doubt your advice helped me land this (career pivot!) role- on my very first interview! THANK YOU!! 🙏🏼

  I disagree with the recommendation to not reverse-interview. &nbsp;Recently, I developed a thorough list of requirements as my criteria and based on that I have been making general inquiries and asking behavioral-based questions (which is typically necessary to get proper evidence of claims related culture or leadership/management style). &nbsp;This has not only allowed me to start getting much higher quality information for which I can use to evaluate potential job offers, but I have noticed that it seems to make a very positive impression on the employers as well. &nbsp;<br><br>Of course, it is prudent to go about it in a conversational manner, and I will typically only ask 1 behavioral-based and a few questions total in any one interview. &nbsp;But for me, this has been a game-changer in how interviews transpire overall, possibly even more so than any prep-work for my own responses!
