Amazing video, thank you!<br><br>Interestingly enough, the milhafa is still worn throughout North and West Africa. Though it's still a single piece of fabric, it now carries lots of different colors and patterns.<br><br>Please keep the videos coming! 🙏🏾

Really interesting reconstruction, and I loved seeing such a little-known woman brought to life. I did wonder, though, where the line sits between evidence and interpretation: do we actually know that Catalina was muslim, forcibly converted and remainted muslim privately, or are these possibilities based on the wider context? The accound of Granada also seemed to compress the 1492 reconquest, enslavement and forced conversions into a single event. Fascinating story nonetheless, and I'd be really interested in the sources behind there aspects of her life.
