Everything you talk about on this channel is literally everything I think about in terms of Nintendo. As an older Gen Z, I’m happy to see that it’s not just me thinking these things.

Last June I took my 3DS to Japan and came back with that green light on!

I seriously wish the WiiU had succeeded, because as you pointed out in this video, both WiiU and 3DS had a lot of charm that simply doesn't apply to Nintendo Switch anymore (neither Switch 1 nor 2), it's a shame Satoru Iwata passed-away, and honestly... Had the WiiU succeeded, we probably wouldn't have gotten the Nintendo Switch until 2021, where they could've skipped Switch1 Hardware in favor of making it rather just as powerful as the NS2 actually is!

Wish I could say more, but I honestly don't feel the need to make this comment any longer, just keeping it simple enough as is.

I was born in 1996, so I was in middle school, high school, and graduated in 2015 during this 'weird' era of Nintendo. I remember wanting a 3DS so badly, seeing all the cool new features not on the original DS systems like Mii Maker at various Gamestops, it felt like a portable Wii to me. I remember finally getting one and seeing how sleek and cool it felt at the time, I especially loved that retractable stylus on the original 3DS. I remember taking my 3DS to school or the mall and seeing that green light, knowing I passed another 3DS user, it made it all mysterious somewhat. I remember upgrading to the 'New' 3DS model in 2015 and transferring all my stuff from my old 3DS to the new one. I remember spending summer of 2011 playing Pilotwings Resort and then got Ocarina of Time 3D that summer as well and played so much of that game and even 100%ed it. I also got the original 3DS before the price cut, meaning I got all those free NES, GameBoy, and GBA games on my system for free alongside that Ambassador's Certificate. I still have both my 3DS's and I occasionally bust out my N(o longer)ew 3DS to play some games. I even still have my original 3DS model from back in 2011. I'll forever cherish this system and all the memories I have with it.

I remember going to the San Diego zoo in 2013, and my 3DS lit up like green fire. It was always such a rush to see that green light. Wonder what those people are up to these days?

Imo THIS era to me is where people feel like they have a para social relationship with Nintendo seeing Regie and Iwata like their childhood freinds

Really sad what happened to Directs. I used to force my self awake early to watch them, but toady's directs I' just read the footnotes.

For me the 3ds/Wiiu era was like being part of a band's career right before they hit gold, however they are only 1 song away from this so they are experimenting and having fun for their 30 or so fans...Example Ghost who played at Musikens makt for 30 people.

Where the switch era is when they have played their first big hit, of which they no longer have time for the more down to earth aspect at a festival whereby 30-40 people go to, and regarding testing new ideas they really dont have to instead they try to repeat the succes.
Nothing bad about this, however it lack personal smaller size aspect.
