  Oh my God THIS is what it is?!?! FFS I&apos;ve been trying to get through this insanity for YEARS. Every month the week or so before my period I get absolutely INSANE, hysterical, crying, angry, hating myself and not wanting to live.<br><br>Goddamnit why do we have so much research on erectile dysfunction but not periods?! Only 50% of the freaking population has had, will have, or is currently having a g-ddamned period!!!

  My mum had the hysterectomy too, then they put her on the hormone patch to stop the menopause symptoms which gave her a blood clot and almost killed her, she is permanently disabled now. Womens health seems to be the least of the modern worlds worries and we should start demanding more.

  I was misdiagnosed with borderline personality disorder as a teenager. I’m now in my 30s, and have been fighting for this to be revoked for years. I believe I have ADHD and PMDD. Doctors are rude and dismissive and waiting lists are years long. It’s a living nightmare.

  I went to the doc to get diagnosed and support, was told you can&apos;t get diagnosed, &nbsp;&apos;you just know and learn to manage it&apos;. Top service, &nbsp;that is.

  Omg how is this so common?? And yet my doctor makes it seem like she’s never heard of these symptoms and makes me feel totally stigmatized and shitty about myself every time I ask her for help. Like I’m not trying to compete with you dude help people or get out of the way.

  This year my gynecologist asked me about the emotional state I feel around my period.<br>I made a joke, told her that I only want to die for two days, but then I bleed and I’m fine. So I know now to just ignore the spiraling despair that comes every month. 😁<br><br>She got very serious, and told me about PMDD.<br>I now take bc continuously. &nbsp;<br><br>The clouds roll in like clockwork whenever I decide to have a period. &nbsp;And the blessed relief when the hormones kick in and &nbsp;I’m out of literal phase?<br>It’s hormones! It’s always been PMDD, I’m not broken or crazy. I just feel hopeless before I bleed.<br>I wasted 35 years, thinking I was depressed. <br>I’m so glad my Dr. listened and saw beyond my joke.

  I can explain just how bad this is- I’m 47 and now feel better in menopause than I ever have done. Even with the hot flushes, the nights sweats, the mood swings. It’s still better than having one good week a month and being in a nightmare for 3.
