"Replaying conversations for days." Days? I replay conversations I had twenty years ago.

Being happy and relieved that plans got cancelled I thought that was just because I'm an introvert?

I’ve never felt called out more by a video and yet I’ve never been called out in a more positive way in my life 😅

#2 is so bad, if you watch me do something or check if I am doing something correctly my brain will literally shut down. DO NOT LOOK AT ME WHILE I COMPLETE A TASK

God, the replaying conversations thing KILLS me. I've lost so many hours of sleep to it, just laying there crying because I can't stop analyzing it or thinking about what I should have done differently. I know I should brush it off most of the time because I often won't ever even interact with these people again, but I can't make myself stop.

things that I thought were normal behaviors:
- 1. Sleeping with a covering on my head. I'm talking fully covering everything except the nose. I usually have done this by pulling the bedsheets over my head and wrapping them around my face. Or I can also use an upside-down t-shirt if it's too warm for the other method.
- 2. as an adult I still have a teddy bear whose eyes I rub for stimulation. I don't know why, but his eyes are genuinely comforting to rub. It's like this automatic go-to thing I do when I'm at my desk and not typing.
- 3. Literal thinking. This leads to me seeming to be "sensitive" to jokes made at my expense, but I genuinely dislike them because they feel hurtful regardless of what they may say afterward.
- 4. overwhelmed easily by loud noises and people. My hearing is very sensitive, and I remember having to get away from a loud house party and just crying in the bathroom because it was so dysregulating and lonely.
- 5. repeating sounds that people or animals or equipment around me makes (echolalia), but as a form of stimulation. I sort of have a tendency to mimic speech patterns, tone and mannerisms of people I meet, especially if I'm unfamiliar with them and/or nervous.
- 6. I never really "learned" how to smile, despite being surrounded by people. Maybe my brain just didn't pick up that information somehow. But when I smile, it's more of a cue that I personally trigger when looking at someone sometimes. And it's weird because it's a full-mouthed smile, but it's my own way of expressing that same emotion that people associate with smiling, or at least I think it is. Some of us smile differently, and not like the tutorials on Youtube say that "real smiling" looks like.
- 7. Hello I can't believe you read all this. Thank you.

Ugh I do all of these things, hardcore. I’m 50. I haven’t been diagnosed with autism but I’m certain I’m autistic. I appreciate your videos so much, because they help me feel less ashamed, and helped me realize that maybe I’m not just a bad person.

5:50 my boyfriend was showing me his music and I just had a blank face the entire time. He thought I wasn't enjoying it, which is untrue
