  A pair of pliers and a small tweak made all my EWG hooks kind of like that hybrid!

  I use to use an offset worm hook and found the fish were getting gut hooked a good percentage of time. Switched to the EWG and I am finding it rarely happens. I would rather miss the fish than gut hook it.

  Something I have done when my soft bait is close to not staying skin hooked is to heat-weld that gash shut or cut off about a half inch of the bait and re-hook. Even with unused baits I&apos;ve noticed that the bass would clamp down on the bait, I&apos;d think I&apos;d set the hook only to have the fish spit the bait out. <br> &nbsp;I keep an adjustable flame cigarette lighter in my box to fix torn, separated baits, and gashes at the skin hook area. having a short flame seems to be better at melting together the bait than an uncontrolable flame thrower. <br> &nbsp;I don&apos;t have unlimited funds for new baits, I&apos;ve even spliced different color parts of worms together and still caught bass on them. <br> &nbsp;As Patrick F. McManus says &quot; I always catch my limit, sometimes it is a little low like zero, but other times it is real High like, umm, ahh one?&quot;

  I typically go with a 4&quot; here in Michigan. I fish where there is quite a bit of pressure and some smaller waters.

The spinners were added for noise &amp; vibrations, to help bass find the lure in the muddy waters! My Dad showed me similar techniques when I was kid in the 1970’s.

  Thank you, as always. I understand folks want a straight Senko set up, however, I also catch good bass often with a Richard III set up! 🎣

  For those wanting to save money, by any plastic clear o-rings that you want, and buy a nasal speculum instead of the VMC &quot;wacky tool&quot; for 15 bucks. The nasal specs are like 2 dollars

  I definitively lose less bass using my senkos with an offset worm hook vs an EWG hook. &nbsp;It is interesting to see a video about this because I thought nobody would agree with what I felt was definitively a better way to fish senkos but hadn&apos;t seen anything about.

  Ive found setting the end of the senko to be weedless prevents a lot of catches and setting it lighter or not running weedless at all helps. Yet again I also fish the same pond with minimal weeds

  I use Z-Man Zinker. Elastech is tough and floats. Great for flipping heavy cover.
