  What I always respect from guys who have tons of training and experience - and in his case great success - is that their primary goal in a street fight is to find a way to diffuse it, and if not, then a way to get away.  There’s very little good that comes from engaging in a street fight, both physically and legally.  Train hard, avoid street violence.  Realize that you’ve won if you can walk away.

  I always tell people that if you see someone calmly talking to you trying to de escalate a situation not yelling not raising his eye brows at you. They know how to defend themselves and they can get dangerous if they want to. It’s best to avoid childish behavior and walk away back to your loved ones. Respect to u sir for sharing wisdom.   I just tell them that my hands and feet are registered weapons with my local police department. If that doesnt work, I put kn a pair of those glasses with the nose and mustache. Then they are either thinking the person they want to fight is gone .  If that doesnt work, I go with the "You wouldnt hit a man with glasses, would you?"😊

  Ive got out of two fights by saying, "I know Karate, & three other Japanese words" usually one of their friends will laugh & dump their anger

  Your advice... walk away... is good advice. Whenever possible it is the right way to go.

  A guy tried fighting me right wen he put his hands up to throw a punch I shot a double leg takedown in self defence got him down and threw a gnp strike he tucked his chin and i hit him right in the forhead and broke my hand on the only punch i threw. I threw a few elbows after that and security came and broke it up. After the adrenaline wore off 10mins later i noticed my hand was starting to hurt i look down at my hand it was completly mangled so broken from one punch to the forehead. Was in a cast for 8 weeks luckily its good now.  But the guy i fought even thiugh it looked like i beat him probably had a few cuts and bruises on his head that healed in a week but i was out for about 10 weeks so ya a full power bunch on a skull is like punching a concrete block wall with full power. I would only elbow or palm strike going forward but i agree calf kick would be the best strike but best overal would be a very fast double leg or single leg then just hold him down or get up and run :)

  you gave similar advice to bas rutten on this issue, he also says to use palm strikes in a street fight, but if your safety (or someone else&apos;s) is in question, then use a closed fist

  Had 6 real street fights as an adult.<br>75,years old now.<br>Did martial arts for many years.<br>Used punches all the time.<br>Never had a problem with that.

  palm strikes, leg kick, elbow, and maybe wrestling or judo throws
