  I find Ryu irritating to play against but it just feels right that he’s a legitimate problem after all these years. We all know that while he’s the main character, gameplay wise he’s always played second fiddle to Ken or even Akuma. Now it FINALLY feels like they’re equally annoying 😊

  It feels to me like Capcom wants their poster boy and also for their final boss character for this game to be top-tier and frequently used, hence why Ryu and JP are so cracked. They weren’t happy with how Ryu got left behind in the USF4 meta, and they kept buffing him in SF5 to where development ended with him solid mid tier, and now they’re hellbent on making sure the SF mascot’s toolkit plays the game the best.

  I mained Ryu in every Street Fighter game I&apos;ve ever played until 6 made him so annoying I dropped him. Oh well, maybe I&apos;ll pick him up again in Street Fighter 7.
