The DOOR CHOCKS I get from discount stores & this gives me peace of mind - along with those under a interconnecting hotel doors. My last ever long distance flight in economy was pure hell. Eye Mask was great but I forgot the ear plugs = I brought some from work as these corded beauties kept my sanity with noisy kids yelling throughout the flight. Ziplock bags are a must - I used to day pack a pair of socks, underwear, t-shirt into a large zip lock bag to get dressed into for an overnight hotel stay. Nothing worse than struggling to find clothes in the dark. Yes to the tea & coffee sachets that need hot water as they have powdered milk in them.

Dual input car charger for rental car. A thin wrap or pashmina if you get cold in A/C places. A couple tablets for a cold, blocked gut and the opposite because 2am suffering in unfamiliar territory is not fun.
