As a Linton owner, I really liked the Dalis here. Now, every speaker has its strength and weaknesses. I like own the Lintons because of their laid back, wide soundstage. But the Dalis sounded really great here!

The Lintons are sweet and warm, but the Dali's are so open , airy , balanced, without any harshness. They really are the winner for me !

The Dali seem more in your face (brighter, more detailed). The Linton sound muffled by comparison but they emphasize heavier tonality.  I think the Linton are easier to listen to for long time but the dali are more monitor like.  I think I'd choose Dali.  It's hard to give up detail once you hear more detail.  Detail, imaging and soundstage matter the most to me so long as it's not fatiguing.

I've had my Dali Oberon 5s for almost a year. I'll sometimes pat them gently on the head and say, "goodnight, thank you" to them after a lovely, long listening session. Utterly smitten by the performance of these little gems.

Two fantastic speakers. The opera song really show cased their differences for me. Agree with the comments here, the Linton is warmer, weightier, and more relaxed. The Dali is more detailed, open and defined. More lively but not harsh. I’d buy both!

Listening on some Audio Technica cans, the Dali seem more open, not coloured. The Lintons seem softer, more closed in. But how can you judge when it's speaker to microphone via youtube, PC and phones.
