  Terry thanks again for a truly amazing review and comparison I actually have had  a pair of Super Linton's unopened  for 2 months 🙃. I will have to set them up the finish looks outstanding. Terrible pricing in Australia but a bargain compared to some of the speakers today - B&W 800 Series 5 I am totally shocked by the money they want for them 85 thousand dollars 801 D5! They are no longer affordable. John Bowers if alive today would have not been so greedy so thank God for Wharfedale still making decent speakers that normal people can afford .

  Thanks for your excellent and honest review. I have a pair of Lintons and agree with you that there is a certain elusive quality to them that just fills me with joy. Well done.

  The only reasonable review I found. Huge thanks for this. So intelligent, fair and done from all angles. I particularly appreciate the “turn your brain off and just listen” approach, it is hard to find analysis done like that, with all the cork sniffers and people who don’t listen to speakers/music but instead buy the equipment so they can only measure it. Anyway, sorry for the rant and thank you again for this!

  I bought a set of Linton's after your previous review of them and have been soooo happy with the speakers. While the Super Linton is tempting, I am saving up for Dovedales as my next upgrade.

  Terry been waiting for you to drop this review as I’ve been obsessed with the Linton’s for the past couple years or so. Although I haven’t heard them yet I’ve been waiting to purchase cause I figured they would release an updated version soon and here it is, but now not sure how to feel I always wanted to hear that warm British sound people speak of. My local hifi shop sells both I will definitely have to compare now. Thanks really enjoyed this review cheers from British Columbia Canada.✌️

  I bought the super lintons ( after staring at the heresy and Forte videos), with a Denon DRA 900. Great bass, great sound.

  I have the Supers. Paired them with top of the line Conrad Johnson separates and a more humble Yamaha integrated. I share the same observations: amp rolling with the Super will yield very different upper mids / treble presentation. I found a good tubed pre will soften the upper Hz liveliness while a good powered amp will bring out their dynamic potential. Quite amazing a speaker at this price will bring out such differences in down stream electronics. It's just a great buy.... now I want the Dovedale's!
