This movie is a great example of why practical effects will ALWAYS outperform CGI/AI. The latter is cool, but the practical effects "feel" real and stand the test of time much better than CGI/AI. I also appreciate that there's a genuine artistry to practical effects, and there's a massive amount of work that goes into making it look just right. That combined with H.R. Giger's artwork driving the design aesthetic of the entire franchise makes this one of my all-time favorites.

I saw both Alien and Aliens when I was far too young. I think they should be mandatory viewing! Every young girl should grow up knowing Ellen Ripley!!
