YouTube has limited ads on this video (obviously) so if you want to support this channel and help me cover more ad-friendly topics, you may donate through Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SideNote

(however it's not necessary, I'll keep making video regardless)
------------
I couldn’t find a credible source for the total money spent on the celebration and so I haven’t included it in the video. However, I’ve found the figure for money spend on various gifts (like offering money to poor sections of society on the birthday), which stand at $5.225 million, adjusted for inflation that would be $111.3 million.
Add $210 Million for Eagle’s Nest to that and the Nazi Germany spent at least $320 Million on Hitler’s 50th Birthday.

Imagine being a soldier marching through that parade, only to see it all go down a few years later. To think there’s still a German veteran out there who marched through that parade is fascinating to think about.

We can all give the worst birthday party to Napoleon. He threw one outside the gates of Smoleńsk when he could have beat the snot out of the Russians, and thus lost his empire.

That's something else for a guy who was sleeping on park benches during his 20th birthday.
