  These stories are priceless. My Mother lived thru the Hitler Era in Germany &amp; Poland. Lost her at 96 2 years ago. I miss her stories !

  I grew up in Austria. A well trained waiter was highly respected for their skills and could easily raise a family on his wages, unlike in the US, where we moved to later.

  Good that Mr. Schneider&apos;s memories of this time in history were preserved for posterity. &nbsp;At his age he still has good recall.

  The British documentary THE WORLD AT WAR is filled with such interviews of perticipants on all sides who wittnessed the events that led up to and during WW2.

  This is superb &amp; really brings life at Berchtesgarten into the present.Bormann really held the whole thing together there- fascinating!How natural &amp; normal Willi seems.

  Thank you for uploading this. I have been interested in WW2 since the late 1970&apos;s. I have interviewed hundreds of veterans and civilians from all sides. It&apos;s sad they are few and far between now.
