There is a trilogy of books called "Marked for Death" that tell the story of a young girl who bears the Mark of Death and her companions who attempt to protect her from the Blood of Vol.

Illmarrow. Ill. Marrow. This is my kind of naming convention alright.

I absolutely love the Vol storyline but I did not know about Minara Vol becoming a dark power that was incredibly neat thank you

So, in 3.5 there was a spell called Sanctify The Wicked. It would basically restore the target to its original form, assuming the spell stuck. The argument was made in a game I ran in the original 3.5 Eberon camping setting that it could conceivably restore Erandis back to her true form of a living half-dragon. If so, it would let her regain use of her Dragon Mark. Where some conflict comes up, is that it changes your alignment to lawful good if memory serves, and you gain the sanctified creature tag/possible template, can't remember if it was a template or not. This would all be a capstone for a campaign and could open the door to the next one.

Can't wait for you to do one on the goblins/hobgoblins. I LOVE the goblinoid lore and characterizations of goblins in Eberron. The Golin-dar, Ghaal-dar, and Guul-dar- very cool.

Such an awesome story. I am a huge fan of the lich queen being a child, it's dark af but perfect. Also worth mentioning that since Erandis didn't make herself into a lich, it's completely unknown where/what her phylactery is! So she's insanely hard to destroy, for even she doesn't know what's keeping her moving. The darkest part is... Does she even want this anymore?

The darkest and most personal interpretation of this story is if Erandis is just trying to find and destroy her own phylactery.

There's at least one other elf culture that uses Necromancy, the ...Neverborn? Something like that. Mabaran necromancy but by outcasts of the UNdying court faction.
