  Two of my 80+ cars , trucks, vans were '64 Corvans!  In '68 I had a Cougar, my closets sister had a '63 Turbo Corvair & sometimes we would drive each other's cars.  Her Corvair was faster than a regular 289 Mustang!  Have thought about these things for decades! Today's electric fans would make a tremendous difference in reliability...these cars & vans were very fun to drive!!!

  1965 monza 140hp 4x1 carbs 4 speed  loved that car , uncle had a monza Spyder turbo  fun car to drive

  Another thing that is currently ruining America are these AI read stories that turn a 15 minute story into 45 by repeating the same things over and over.  But, at least there was a shout out to Mulholland Drive which was my stomping grounds from the 70's to the 90's.

  GM kills every good innovation they ever had.  I had a '63 Spyder conv, '64 Spyder conv, '65 Corsa coup and loved them all.

  Wait, missing a shift does NOT cause a violent drop in rpm, shifting fast and popping the clutch does.  I know, I did it many times.  As soon as the GEN/FAN red light came on, you shut down.

  The spring loaded fan belt tensioner solved the throwing problem.  Porting the in/out valve ports got a major boost increase.

  I still drive my My 62 Corvair turbo everyday, in fact it’s so gorgeous and drive so well it’s one of my favorite cars and I’ve got a bunch of them including a 53 Chevy with the first Corvette engines. I was a big fan of Ed Cole

  Our family had a 1964 Monza (110hp, 4sp) convertible. <br>My mom worked at a tire store (bookkeeper) and was given a set of Michlin tires, it was hilarious my 5 foot and a bit tall mom try to tell a service station attendant the tires weren&apos;t flat. &nbsp;;-)<br>Until the introduction of the Mustang II, some hot rodders used Corvair front suspensions.

  I had 3 Corvairs, 1960, 1961, and 1964, all bought used. The 1960 had a blown motor, so at 15yrs old I rebuilt my first motor, using my brothers tools. &nbsp;My brother had a &apos;63 Spyder, bought new in &quot;62. &nbsp;We loved our Corvairs. &nbsp;I wish I still had my &apos;64.
