My first car was a 1961 Buick Invicta with the 445 Wildcat engine. What a torque monster!<br>At first, I also thought the engine was 445 cubic inches! 😂🤣<br>My Uncle had done some engine work to it, before I got it (intake manifold, carburetor and camshaft)<br>Even my friends thought that it was 445 cubic inches, because of the performance.<br>All of my buddies with Dodge, Fords and Chevys saw tail lights of my Buick!<br>The biggest issues I had with the car was cooling. But over the years I learned about mechanics better, and wish I had that car back!<br>It took almost 50 years before I got another vehicle with the displacement, torque and horsepower that the 445 Wildcat had; a 2022 Chevy 2500HD with 6.6L gas engine!<br>I'll always miss that '61 Buick

What is unique about the nail-head is its combustion chamber & the fact that the pushrods go to the outside of the rockers & of course that it is made with premium components Guess we are not smart enough for that info..

Saying that an engine is "just" an air pump is an extreme simplification. Air compressors are air pumps and produce no horsepower and only use 2 strokes They need power to run.
