I’ve been having a bit of knee pain recently and didn’t even think about it being my saddle height, but just used the heel method and found that I could raise it about an inch. Thank you for this video!

This should be a 100k+ minimum subscriber channel : practical, value adding information, efficiently told, by an professional who also is a friendly fella, with great visual quality and inserts. Well done to you and your team. If I lived in Australia, I would buy a bike from your shop. But I'm the other side of the planet - hi from Prague, CZ !

I wish you had measured it with the three different methods just to see how similar they were!
Also, you mentioned in the description but not in the video, the easiest way to know your seat is too high is rocking in the saddle as you are pedalling. Just going down a few mm at a time until this stops gets pretty close to what you want, then adjust for personal comfort.
Great video! 👍

Extend the right pedal and put your left leg on it. Adjust the seat to your hip. The sweet spot is inches from finding. ride and adjust the seat until climax.

The Lemond method does not appear to consider different crank lengths, the other two do.

    Let's Make this Simple:
if your knees hurt the saddle is too low.
if your lower back hurts the saddle is too high.
Adjust till they balance out.

basically a low saddle makes your knees cramp up from lack of extension. while a high saddle causes your pelvis to rock as you pedal and hurts the lower back.

I'm 60 , I don't ride hard too much anymore . I'm more comfortable with a low seat height and my knees don't hurt because I just ride leisurely now .

If you are using the “book between your legs method”. Put a painters tape on the wall so you can mark where the “top” of the book is. You can easily remove the tape afterwards.
