  We went to a kid&apos;s birthday party this week, and after watching the parents completely ignore their kids for their phones, it is quite clear what&apos;s happening now. One child gave up just before his last frame of bowling because his score was low, and the mom encouraged him to quit! She threw his shoes towards him and said, you&apos;re done. She actually wanted him to quit. Mind. Blown. The parents were all glued to their cell phones and the kids were running wild. Without discipline in the home, the schools are doomed.

  More and more, parents are treating school as just a day care. They don&apos;t care if their kids actually learn anything at all, just that they&apos;re not having to be watched by the parents all day.
