  I was born in 2008, but luckily for me my family was too poor to afford smart devices or internet until 2021 when i was 12-13. Being poor = dodging a bullet nowadays.

  I&apos;m a teacher in France, and what frightens me is the growing chasm between brain-dead students and those who continue to benefit from a strict yet enriching parental upbringing. To put it another way, I have 13-year-old students who can barely read and one student who has just finished a 14,000-page fantasy saga. These students are no longer living in the same world.

  There&apos;s no way in hell I&apos;m letting my daughter anywhere near ipads or social media. She&apos;s getting the 90s childhood.

  I&apos;m 70 years old. I probably have 10 to 20 years to go. I used to think I&apos;d like to live longer to see what happens in the world, but now I don&apos;t even want to know.

  Millennial here. I forced my nieces to go two days without the internet or their kindles and you&apos;d think the world ended. My brother won&apos;t let them visit me anymore.

  I don&apos;t get people who CHOOSE to have a child only to give them an iPad because everything else is somehow too inconvenient

  I live next to an elementary school and I heard an entire group of kids say &quot;forty eight, forty nine, forty ten&quot; a few weeks ago while they were outside. I have no idea how they even made it that far.
